Today in my pattern cutting lesson I have been sampling further with my circle pleats to experiment with the fabric weight and also experiment with different types of pleats.
The outcome to date - I like the sample in picture 1, however there is a problem with the thickness as I cannot machine stitch it together in the center and when I use a needle in cotton it didn't feel secure enough. I am going to re-sample this in a light weight fabric to see if this solves the problem.
