Blythe Doll

I created my first ever blog( so please bare with me) feeling very proud of myself:) I am entering the Clothes Show competition and I have to create a 200 word debate linked to fashion. I have decided to debate on the Blythe Doll Fashion and cost of this item. why is it that when something becomes popular the cost of the item goes up? this makes me wonder if the Blythe Doll will remain popular? or will the prices drop in years to come? when i was younger the Barbie doll was my desired toy of choice, however, these days computer games have taken over the youths time and attention, leaving dolls discarded to one side.

In Asia, especially Thailand the Blythe doll is very popular and a fashion trend among the more mature individuals who have a spare £200 to purchase these dolls. Thailand celebrities are turned into a Blythe doll available for you to purchase as part of the collection. Could it be that these dolls who have skin that when you touch it feels real and changeable hair is wasted on adults? to me this seems the perfect toy for teenagers. what a shame the price is so high.

It would seem you either love the Blythe doll or hate the Blythe doll only last week I went on YouTube and watched a video of a mature woman who dislike the doll "why would she buy a doll that cost about hundred pounds or more for a scary big headed doll? its just too expensive!" but her younger sister loved the Blythe doll and she bought this woman a Blythe doll for her birthday. This seems too changed the woman's opinion of the doll and she now owns over one hundred.
Do you love or hate the Blythe doll? Is it a waste of money or is it an investment?
