Before manufacturing, we sample using different techniques to take the best techniques forward to the final garment.
These images show me beginning to sample the pleats and I have created them in paper and the reason for this is because it is more convenient to practice the pleats in paper because they give structure and at this point I am still uncertain about my fabrics.
I am creating a 360 degrees circle that is pleated and then I will cut them into a shape that resembles the shapes on my design, after that I will pin these pleated shapes onto the mannequin to see what it looks like.
